Default New to Vega!

Hi all!!

Currently in the market for an Android Table PC and the Vega has took my fancy with very decent specs and its cheap price!

But, i just want a cupple of things cleared up before i purchase one!

My first thing is, 3G?

Everywhere i have looked i have read they do not have 3G, which i dont mine really, BUT it would be nice if i could get one with 3G, i also heard you could get ones with 3G?

Can anyone clear this up to be true of false?

and my last thing... no doubt asked many times on here haha

Rooting!

Ok, so im not new to rooting some mobile devices, as i did my old HTC Hero, Desire HD.

But there are always different ways of rooting devices!

Whats the best way to go about rooting the Vega?
any guides? just having a search about, but not found anything weirdly...

:EDIT:

http://u.bb/C9o found that for a guide and just reading through it now

Im going to be running VegaComb, so any info on what i will need or keep an eye out for would be much appreciated

Thanks alot all

Keith

Hi there.

Firstly the advent vega does not have 3g, some of its clones do. Some people have managed to get certain usb 3g dongles working (rom dependent)

As for rooting its easy, most of the rooting apps work, i use visionary.

And for vegacomb, its easy to install. Just flash the modded V1.10 firmware, Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1158020

This contains all you need, including clockwork mod, so flashing from there is a breeze.

Good Luck

hi there. Point of view also released a tablet, witch is identical to the vega. you can purchase that with internal 3g and gps.

DONATE TO ME
You could look at the Viewsonic Viewpad 10S which again is supposed to have the same internals as the Vega. Play.com are doing the 3G / WiFi version of that for £368 (which does seem a bit on the pricey side).

Vega is a good choice as stated most rooting apps work visionary being popular, you can get 3g working via dongle and also get gps working via gps reciever for the price the vega is defo worth the buy i have iPad2 and Xoom but i cant fault the vega at all and i find myself playing with it constantly
