Exclamation Universal bug on 3.0 messaging app

For the past couple weeks, I've left the comforts of CyanogenMod to venture into the realm of 2.1/3.0 sense roms since they seemed to be close to stable to make one of them my daily rom. Anyway, on EVERY single one I tested, there was a bug in the 3.0 messaging app. Every once in awhile, I would receive a text postmarked an hour later than it actually was. The issue is that when I replied, it would put my response right above the text I just received since my outgoing text would be the correct time. So if this happened a few times in a row, the flow of the conversation would be jumbled. I'm not sure how this happened so I tested it out with my Google Voice account. I'm not sure if this was coincidence or not, but it seemed like it happened either right after turning off the screen or while I was using the phone. I'm guessing it has something to do with how the messaging app deals with the phone's internal clock or something since it's a universal issue and not just found on a couple roms. But I'm not a amazing coder like you guys on here so I have no idea. Hopefully someone can get this fixed.

The roms I've used thus far (the bug is in all of them):
Optimized Shift 2.4 (my main rom)
Synergy RC2
Nil's Business GingerSense 3.0 v1.3
Nil's Business GingerSense 2.1/3.0 v2.3
Incredible 2 ReMix RLS 2.2
Kingdom Stock GingerSense RLS2
Kingdom Rewind 3D RLS3

I posted it here instead of the Q&A because I figured developers should know about this (or whoever it is that ported the 3.0 messaging app) so it can be fixed.

Multiple people have experienced this, and cyanogenmod has had some releases that have done this as well. There is a market app that fixes it, I don't recall the name but it's somewhere along the lines of smsfix or something.

Were you in central time zone? I never experienced the bug until I traveled from Virginia Beach -> Memphis. Durr, the clock changed on its own. It was on the Pure Speed shift ROM, I reported the bug and basically I was alone 0.0 :'(

Another bug I've noticed is that ever since Sense 2.0, if you have a contact linked to Facebook, their number appears in EVERY. SINGLE. TEXT. Ex:
Bill (M +17575552019): Sure
I call this a bug because, I know who I'm texting, I don't need their number plastered on every single one of their messages, at the very least, HTC needs to move the number to the top. There is no... "sense" in having their number in every text. It also happens if you put email information in contacts. I understand HTC just wants us to know that we know which number we're texting, fair nuff, but who emails with the messaging app?! And on top of that, I've tried de-linking contacts from Friendstream, only for the messaging app to keep showing their number in all their texts whenever I start texting them again -.-
Its amazing that I seem to be the only one who notices this ugly bug.

It seems that no matter what, incoming messages are stamped with Eastern Time .... I was in PST and messages were 3 hours different and now I have moved to CST and messages are 1 hour off. SMS Time Fix will fix this but it does suck that it requires a separate app to do so ....
