[Q] is my UNI ------- DEAD :( :( :(

hi all

it is been 3 full days now that i am searching a solution for my XDA EXEC to be live again as i used PM - e-mails every thing and YES been through all the thread before posting this thread with no LUCK...

the problem is my UNI was working fine with TML 8.5... great until i tried to downgrade to TML 7. something ... in the middle the active sync suddenly diss-appeared and i had (serial on top of the screen and V1.00 on the Bottom)

ok now YES i have read that it will switch to USB on top when i will connect it to a PC running Win-XP and i will be able to use MTTY ...or update the ROM again after flashing the DOC... but yet again when i connect to my LAPTOP or PC there is nothing on the screen change .... MTTY never gives me the USB option to connect to my UNI's Boot Loader...

i tried each and every thing i read on this forum... but all in vain ... i am a blackberry user but heard some good features of UNI like Terminal window and more so just had the device .. but stuck.....

can anyone just let me know that is there any hope for me in this device or its just another paperweight now ...

Before you tried MTTY did you remove the sim and sd card? Sometimes that works to make the usb option to show.

yes i did removed the sim card and SD card from my UNI...

i think ppl are busy and even this thread is having 60 views but only 1 reply.....

open MS ActiveSync - > File - > Connection Settings - > uncheck the column allow USB connections
or end process WCESCOMM.EXE in task manager on your computer !! so MTTY will recognize your device via USB

tried already but my problem is my device is not switching from serial to USB whic it should be when i connect it to USB cable.......

still waiting for some good answers :-w

seems USB connetor on your device is damaged, why you don't try to flash rom via SD/MMC ?? if you interest to try proper follow Guide by tomal at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=flash+sd+card

yeah i am also having the same idea .. thanks for solution hakim but the "file not found" error is teasing me on the given link of yours..... can u upload the tool for me here in this thread???

yeah hakim i downloaded the tool and followed the instructions but my xda is still in boot loader mood and not even loading from sd i mean not even looking in to the sd card i have tried 3 different cards 128/512/64 mb 2 mmc and 1 sd ... but result in same ...

i more thing i before this happen i used the active sync and was working fine ..i took the device to a repair shop he said the hardware boot loader is to be repaired and will be charged 3000 PKR for that...

any suggestion
