Default [Q] XPKG6 with 850Mhz UMTS?

Hi all, is there a way to enable the 850Mhz UMTS in the XPKG6 firmware as i am an Australian using Telstra's network. Due to the fact that we get left in the dark fairly frequently in regards to all updates from Telstra (current for us is 1.0) and Samsung, i am currently using the Brazilian BVJJK1 firmware as it is the latest firmware (1.02) that supports the frequencies i need. I'm not the only one having this issue as bruno2k7 also has this problem (link to his thread below). If anyone could shed some light on if or how this can be achieved i'm sure that there would be a lot of extremely grateful people out there.
Jingles.

Please have you installed other firmwares and try to set the network manually? Maybe setting the network manually (instead of the default Automatic) may solve this problem.
Go to Settings => Connectivity => Network => Network mode => (and select the appropriate network in GSM or UMTS mode).
NB: I am refering you to bada 1.2 and not the beta bada 2.0. If all goes well in bada 1.2, hopefully you will enjoy same when bada 2.0 is officially releashed.

Thanks for you time on this spacks. So far i have tried The latest Brazilian firmware (BVJJK1), XXJL2, DDKD1, LUHJH1, XPKG5 and XPKG6. I have tried every setting i can think of in regards to swapping around the amss.bin files, different combos of the Bootfiles as well as the amss.bin, CSC, FFS, etc. The only thing that i have found that works so far i.e. actually boots and gives me full 850 UMTS is the complete BVJJK1 although i will try the LUHJH1 later tonight after work (unless somebody can reply between now and then that it doesn't support 850mhz). Your help on this one is immensely appreciated guys as if i can get it to work then i can update all my friends Wave's as well as we are all on Telstra (850mhz).

Regards Jingles.

Did you ever tried mix AMSS (amss.bin) from your country/operator with others Firmware?
AMSS is callprocessor part...

yeah tried that one too lol but thanks All i need is to somehow be able to use the current amss.bin file that i'm using from the Brazilian BVJJK1 firmware in one of the latest 2.0.1 firmwares. When i try it the phone just boot loops. Have been trolling through every page i can find on the topic but have had no luck finding anybody who has gotten this to work yet, although last night i did find a comment on whirlpool that said that my carrier (Telstra) might be looking at updating the waves in Australia to Bada 2.0, fingers crossed i guess.....

Hey all sorry for not getting around to posting a fix for this issue sooner. A few weeks ago i solved the issue i was having by taking a sledge hammer to my fone and smashing the absolute **** out of it.
I then went and bought an Android based handset. Problem solved.

Now before any of you want to go saying "Why not do that in the first place" the reason is this. I bought my handset in one of the first batch released in Australia with the promise from Samsung that Bada was going to be the next big thing or at least be a formidable opponent to iOS and Android. Instead what we were given was a POS that should have been called Beta not Bada. The Original wave offered an amazing hardware set only to be let down by a **** OS that we can't even port Android to. I haven't bothered looking in the topic on how the port for the wave is coming because i can guarantee that it's no better from the last time i looked (no offence to the guys working on this as i imagine you guys are going hell for leather trying to get this sorted. Many kudos guys.)

So good luck guys, i'll be laughing at the rest of you still trying to use your clunky BADA phones while i continue to tweak and update my latest update of Gingerbread.

Default Actually you were just unlucky

I think all the people who bought the 850mhz capable waves were unlucky...
Too bad you werent able to try even just bada 1.2 and i agree samsung shouldve done something about it.
