I used the same recovery but cant get anywhere with the rom. ADB and logcat is fine starts few seconds after the splash screen appears in all ROM's even froyo by lazslo a G1 rom with ezterry's auto kernel. I will try some froyo kernels and see if I can get it to boot. Will keep you updated.

So then something's up with the ROM ... okay, I would try the same thing but I don't have those problems ... I also appreciate your efforts into this please share any findings you get!

I flashed 0.1 and carz-CM6-2.6.34-6355-sapphire-v0.70-signed.zip kernel and i got it to boot past the android touch screen then I have a the taskbar a black screen the power button gives the reboot and power menus etc i can make the selection and it works power button turn the screen on and off i have the slide lock screen and thats that no home screen just a taskbar that works power notification works. i will try to play with the density see if it changes anything.

AWESOME! that helps a lot!

Try flashing 0.2 - or - boot the phone and when you get the black screen, open a command window and do this:

1. adb shell
2. fix_permissions

That should fix the problem. 0.2 has it fixed already .

Fix permission does not help .1 and .2 still stuck at splash screen I am back to my daily driver as I will be on vacation for the next 2 weeks I try testing it again then.

There's no theme chooser for 6.1 (yet, that I know of) but you can download metamorph from the market and apply themes from it. I've seen a CMTheme folder created in my SD Card, to apply colour profiles in XML format sometimes, so I think it has a metamorph ability but I'm not sure yet!

To those having problems:

I've uploaded a test 0.2 version here:

(still uploading, around 1 hr left ).

Please try it to see if the problems are solved. It requires an SD card installed while flashing, and correctly partitioned with an Ext partition (128Mb, 256, 512, etc), no swap needed.

When it arrives the setup wizard, wait a little. The phone will reboot automatically, it will say that the system process is not responding and such and then it'll reboot, so let it be. After that you can begin to use it. It *should* work. Please help if you can by testing it .

Ok this works =) but after installing the launcher pro has a fc and the screen remains black with only the bar notification working. other things, the blacklight of the buttons does not work.

Okay, did you let it reboot itself after the first boot on the wizard screen?

For the backlight, go to the screen options and change brightness, unchecking "automatic brightness", that should fix it.
