which would cause wifi to sleep/turn off when u turn off the screen

if that isn't the issue
then answer me this : are you using ANY TYPE of battery saving program/app?(for example, juice defender)
I have tried all of that, thinking it might be some kind of compatibility thing with router or something

Are there any infrastructure based wireless-tether apps that work on this ROM? I've tried both Wireless Tether 2.0.7 and Barnacle and neither are detected by my PS Vita. I'm assuming they're both ad-hoc?

I never had an issue with CM7's built-in wireless-tether function, but for some reason when I use that ROM my phone doesn't recognize any media stored on my SD card. If I can tether my Vita to my DX2 using Eclipse than I will feel like I've won some type of battle

I'm curious why you were on 413 build when the OP and motchers thread says to be on 412 build?

that hadn't been released yet when he was running eclipse
he said he was in 413 last time he ran eclipse and was having issues, I was just curious as to why he chose 413 build instead of 412
sorry, I just a curious guy, lol
