Default Camera problem GingerDX v006

Hi everyone.

I'm a frequent visitor of the forum, but only today I've sign up because of this problem with GingerDX v006.
Everytime I use the camera, phone crashes and reboot. I've already made full wipe and still the same.

Before this Rom I was using XGin 5.4 with no problem using camera.

If someone can help, I would apreciate.

Thanks for your reply, but I've already made a factory reset and it still reboot when use camera. I don't know if that has something to do with launcher pro, but I can try to change it.

Any kind of help are welcome, because I'm really enjoying this rom.

V6 doesn't have any important update for me so I'm still in V5 and camera works fine. 3 MP. If you don't mind, downgrade to V5 and wait for other update. If DX knows about this bug, I bet he'll fix it.

I encountered no issues with the camera app itself in v006, or in v005 for that matter. Others have reported the same, so it would seem that your problem is unique to your particular phone, sadly. I would suggest either waiting for v007 or downloading the v006 zip file again (in case of some DL corruption).

I've already tested with v005 and still the same. I can use the camera to take pictures, but when exit the app, crash and reboot (sometines can exit, but when enter again, same problem).

Probably it's like <Twinsen> said, and it must be something with my phone that causes this crash with GingerDX. I'll wait for v007 and if stills the same, I'll return to XGin 5.4.

Thank you all for your answers and help.

For sure you use a different camera app, am I right? When you try a camera app instead of the one included in the ROM. You will experience force close. Try to reboot then use the Default Camera.

Sent from my X8 (GingerDX) using XDA App

Just a shot in the dark, but are you overclocking the phone?
SE Xperia X8 | GingerDX | AX8MT | Xperia Active Launcher
SE Xperia NEO everything on stock rooted with zergRush.
Nexus 7 C9O on stock 4.2.
Xperia Z on stock and rooted, bootloader still locked.
