Default Reset Method for clearing cache and user data

Not sure if this was posted, but if it helps anyone, it's worth it I gues.

Having problems with my Acer Iconia which is pretty much useless at this point but at one point eh engineers had me try the following:

Power Down
Hold down the right volume key
Hold power
When it buzzes let go of the power but keep hold of the volume button
rock the screen orientation switch quickly back and forth

Should say :
Erasing Userdata....
Erasing Cache...

Just another way to reset it.

This hardware method will wipe ALL DATA.. Even /data/media (which is not backed up via CWM).

The factory/reset option in CWM will not erase /data/media.

I believe, that options simply restarts your tab if it becomes unresponsive. Never had it reset (erase data of any kind) when I wanted to start with afresh. Too many folders that had cluttered. Do correct if I am wrong though.
