[Q] Data control
During my Windows Mobile days, i'm accustomed to switching off GPRS/WAP for mobile internet when not needed, while maintaining the MMS open to receive data at all times. I can switch on mobile internet only when needed.
With the unfortunate death of Windows Mobile, I had to transfer to the Android wagon. In Android, it's nice that i can switch off mobile internet too. But the problem is, whenever this is off, MMS is also cut off. Can't send nor receive MMS unless i switch on mobile internet. This is really annoying. I don't need mobile internet 99.9% of the time. But i do need MMS access very often. Setting the combined access on at all times is very expensive, because Android updates a lot of things to the cloud regularly. I don't want to turn off these updates either. Since Google programmed Android in such a way to force people to ditch MS Outlook, I'll need the cloud data updated regularly whenever i'm in the office with WiFi access.
Is there a way to separate mobile internet from MMS access, just like Windows Mobile? Is there a tool or app to control each service separately?
