Default [Q] [Help] Home Screen Modifications

I posted this question in the screenshot thread, but wanted to get more public attention to this in hopes of finding someone who knows the answers to my questions. Thanks in advance!

Update: Alright, I found the widgets for the text and clock and stuff you used (plan on making my own personal touch of course), now I the only thing I need to figure out is how to remove the notification bar at the top, and the icons at the bottom, and also how do you overlap widgets? One last thing, is there a way to get the normal phone lock to not show up, without losing the menu when holding power? (Make it so the screen never times out normally, but allow LockMenu app to time it out instead) If anyone else knows how he did this, would be great. Thanks!

ADW Launcher will allow you to remove the notification bar and dock icons.
Device: Verizon Galaxy Nexus

Loopy Smoothness Tweak
(V6 and LS work with all ROMs and devices)

+1 for ADW it will do what he said.. as for removing the lock screen without removing the power menu, there is an app called No Lock that will make it so your screen times out normally but when turned back on there is no lockscreen (also I've heard No Lock Screen app works well too plus gives you a widget to toggle lock on/off)

Doesn't work with Charge, unfortunately. At least not how I want it. Thanks for the suggestion though! As far as getting my screen how I wanted it. I'm nearly there. Just need to get the paid version so I can overlap my widgets and i'll be golden.

Go Launcher EX is free and will allow you to hide the notification bar and dock bar.

You can also setup gestures for these actions. I map Swipe-down to Open Notification (helps with the large screen) and Swipe-up to Hide/Show Dock Bar. I just double checked and you can definitely set up a gesture to Show/Hide the Notification Bar, although it says "Show/Hide Status Bar".

SiMi Clock will give you a similar clock setup. I think you can customize the crap out of that application anyway. Here's what I quickly came up with:

Yeah, ADW has a free version, but it also has a "premium" app which you need to pay for that allows you to overlap widgets. The option isn't available in the free version. I tried Go Launcher, but I like ADW more.

Exactly.. So you'd need to buy ADW Ex or tinker with custom home screen grids in Go Launcher.

Although you don't need the paid version. Simiclock has weather and battery status widgets that are 1x1. You can move them as you want without worrying about overlapping. The Calendar is extdatewidgetxl, although I prefer just the extdatewidget.
