Red face CIFS
OK folks. I got a big suprise tonight. I was looking to maybe get CIFS working on our Thrive, so I was looking around XDA to see what was required. I found a few modules, but could not get them to work. Anyway, I downloaded CIFS manager from the market and gave it a try and guess what. I was able to attach to a share I created on my PC. So, it looks like we have another thing to like about our beloved Thrive. Unlike all the rest of the tablets out there that had to compile kernels to get CIFS to work, ours already has it. You will need to be rooted in order to use CIFS manager, but it sure worked smoothly.
