But you said it should be universal on any Android device? Do I need a certain version of busybox installed?
What ROM are you running? The radiooptions command is separate from busybox so it won't matter what version you have installed. Attached is a flashable zip that will put the radiooptions binary in /system/bin for you. Flash it and see if that works.

Does anyone know of an app/service that provides SMS over WiFi ? My son had an app like this on his iPod touch. You have to synchronize things via the app's website where you pick your area code and a phone # that's used.

I'm looking....

He (mic_888) didn't ask you before posting it ? Heh, if he did, he might have gotten it right regarding the phone model. He says it's for the Incredible, not the Eris (though I suspect it will work for the Inc too).

TextPlus or TextFree are apps that will work over WiFi. They're the same apps I've seen from the iPod, ported to Android.

Sent from my Sky Raider Zeus Thunderbolt using XDA App

No one said anything to me before it was posted lol. He links it to the Inc thread but this one was started first. It will work on any device though as long as the radiooptions command is found in the /system/bin folder.

I can tell you how to get a script to load on boot. its quit easy actually.
in your system/etc/init.d folder are a few startup scripts. They are numberd 20userinit is the best one I found to use. just edit the bottom of the script to add like this

/system/bin/sh /path/to/file.sh

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING INSIDE 20USERINIT just add that 1 single line at the very bottom

now make sure your /path/to/file.sh is read and excutable by everyone and write by u

and reboot. should do the trick let me know

Haven't see you for a while, mate, good to hear from you again!

I keep an eye out here at XDA and over at AF where we first ran into each other.

Cheers and stay well!

Hey CS,

I'm going to give this a try but just had a quick question. I read the entire thread but I just wanted to confirm. If at a later date I want to reactivate my Eris, all I need to do is disable this script, correct?
