Default [GUIDE] Apps that are safe to remove

This is a list of all applications that are safe to remove from the phone. In order to remove these apps, you must first be rooted. Using Root Explorer, navigate to /data/apps/ or /system/apps/ to find these corresponding .apk files.

Please feel free to reply with any applications that are found to be safe to remove and I will keep this thread up to date.

The included swype (dated version)can be removed, but you also have to remove a library so file.

Delete:
/system/app/Swype.apk
/system/lib/libSwypecore.so

You can then download the swype installler, run it and get the v3 version.

This is from memory, so I might have the case of the file name wrong.

You can create a .bat file to run and remove all the apks you dont want aswell. Or an update.zip but it has to be signed.

cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools adb remount

adb shell rm system/app/"__".apk

adb shell rm system/app/"__".apk

adb shell rm system/app/"__".apk

adb shell rm system/app/"__".apk

adb shell rm system/app/"__".apk

Put the name of the app that you wish to remove between the "_"s. Make sure you have debugging enabled on your phone aswell as the mopho drivers installed on your pc.
