I used Backup Tool v1.5 Beta and Settings Restorer v1.2 Beta. These are my findings:
- HTC Sense account: The account is restored, but HTC Hub cannot connect. Probably it's due to not showing the agreement one has to accept at first run. Removing and re-adding the account triggers the agreement popup and solves the problem.
- Exchange Active Sync account: The synchronisation of mail and contacts are disabled, although they were enabled when backing up. I had to tick the checkmark to re-enable the synchronisation.
- Exchange Active Sync account: The update frequency was not set to push as it was when backing up, but to every 15 minutes.
- HTC Launcher: All apps and widgets were restored. One widget (a shortcut to a note from ColorNote) was replaced by a placeholder. Restoring the user data for ColorNote did not fixed the placeholder; I had to remove en re-add the widget (I think this cannot be fixed, the placeholder seems a legit solution)
