Gmail for Timescape


Install, go to Timescape service settings.
Then enabled the Observe Gmail Changes,
so it will be updated when new email comes.

As in there is no gmail message at all in Timescape?
Or new email does not show up in Timescape?

When you enabled Observe Gmail, there will be a running service named GmailRefreshService (you can check in settings -> application -> running services)

It works on my phone

there is a gmail refresh service. but timescape wont show my gmails.....do i need an older version of gmail? i have newest version

I just d/l and installed it, it's set to observe gmail changes, I confirmed the service is running and have sent myself a test message but it won't show any of my gmail in TS, it says "No events"

I then added the TS widget to my homescreen and tried to see if that made a difference, nope. Damn, got me all juiced about this

I wonder if the absurdly long sync time even with the gmail app itself has anything to do with this. I'm on wifi, just opened my gmail app and it's been on the "waiting for sync, your email will appear shortly" screen for a good 5 minutes. So I turned wifi off, enabled 3g data and i'm going on 2 minutes sitting on that screen......horrible!

You are right, i updated my Gmail and have similar problem.

And its because of the new Gmail version 2.3.5
All Gmail unread count apps and widget are affected by it.
