I think maybe you were confused by that YouTube video as the 5 tab widget you are referencing is not a single widget that changes and stays on each of the home screens.

You will have to create that stack of 5 tabs for each of your home screens.

As an example, on my tablet's main Home screen, I have created 4 Minimalistic Text widgets that are 3 X 1 (Horizontal) that have black backgrounds with Games, Productivity, Music, Videos. Then I created a Minimalistic Text widget that is 4 X 1 (Horizontal) that has a red background with the text "Home" in it.

I am using ADW Launcher EX and you have to make sure you have to have the following settings (I am simply repeating more or less of what the OP (fliparsenal) included in his original post)...

Go to ADW Settings.
Select UI Settings.
Select Screen Preferences.
In the Advanced Settings section at the bottom of the screen make sure you have Overlap Widgets checked on.
Then in the Advanced Settings section select the Advanced Settings option at the bottom of the screen.
Make sure you have Auto Stretch checked on. (If you don't do this your widgets will not line up correctly. They will either have gaps in between or will overlap each other and look terrible.)
Exit out of ADW Settings.

Now you should be able to long press on a open space on your home screen and create the Minimalistic Text widgets you want. On my main Home screen which is screen #3 like for most people with 5 home screens I have a MT widget that is 3x1 then below it there's another MT widget that is 3x1, then below that one I have an MT widget that is 4X1 (that says HOME), then below that one I have another 3X1 and below that one the final 3X1 MT widget.

So, for each of your home screens you will have to create 4 of the 3X1 widgets for which ever home screen you are working on (like "MUSIC" for example) and one 4X1 widget that says MUSIC with a red background and so on for each of the other home screens you have.

Yes, it takes time but in the end you will have some sweet home screen layouts.

Good Luck,
Steve

Unfortunately Minimalist Text doesn't have a landscape mode for settings. Hopefully the developer is working on that feature. It is annoying but you can still use it.

I couldn't get that global setting to work either so I had to invest time to make all 25 of my widgets one at a time with no global template to work off of.

A user named SleepyNinja has three YouTube videos of excellent Minimalistic Text tutorials. Check them out below.

Nice. Hey I noticed you're also using Circle Launcher on one of your home screens, I've also used Circle Launcher but I've also downloaded the icon pack from the Market and it lets you create way cooler Circle Launcher round icons.

Here's the link.

The new ADW EX update totally kills the hub setup the dev did not include the option to disable the Dock and that shrinks everything else...

Yes it's pretty annoying. I prefer adw ex but I would hate to roll back to Launcher Pro.
