help with dsp manager.. will i still be able to use my headset?

problem: battery drain on my x8. gdx v007

tried full wipe, clearing battery stats, charging fully and calibrating the battery but still drain persists.. battery lasts only 4 less than 24 hours. (i only use my phone in texting, wifi is off)

note: i set smartass as my governor.

if i delete the dsp manager using TB, will I still be able to use my headset/headphone? because there is a note that my phone wont run normally if i uninstalled it and may cause to reflash my rom again..

someone suggested that i delete the dsp manager to lessen the drain because as what i have seen, it is always included on the running programs in applications.
