Default WiFi Issues With Photon:( Anyone Else

I have a Motorola Xoom and I get 72Mbps on Wireless N 2.4ghz, and while at the same time I am getting 6Mbps in the same location on the Moto Photon . I have a Netgear 4000 (N750) and I am about 7ft away with both devices. Is the WiFi Radio that Horrible in the Photon. Wireless SUCKS. I am on Channel 11 (the only person in the neighborhood, everyone else is still on default channel 6).

Anyone else having this issue. I just got this today and Love the phone, and but the Wireless is Terrible and may force me to take it back. I have Time Warner Cable (Roadrunner Plus 25Mbps Down & 2Mbps Up. I am baffled. Unless the Photon Wireless Radio SUCKS BALLS. I have updated the PRL & Profile.

What are you using to check your wifi speeds? Is it the same app on both?

I am using WiFi Analyzer on my Xoom only. I called Moto and Sprint and it has been escalated. 6Mbps is Rediclous. I have been doing this IT thing for 15+ years (installed AP's, Routers, Switches etc.etc) and NEVER have seen a WiFi Signal fluxuate like the Photon's does (from 72Mbps to 11Mbps in the matter of a couple of minutes or if I move around). I even turned off my 5ghz SSID and that did not help. It's really wierd.

Edit: I am now using the same WiFi Analyzer on my Photon and it shows the same results

Is 6Mbps too slow to load things on a phone? I guess I'm confused what you'd need more speed for on a phone...

I'm seeing 18/17mb down and ~10 up using speedtest on my 802.11n 2.4ghz wifi.. dlink router if it makes a difference, using wpa2

(my internet's capable of 50/10)

Just out of curiosity I ran a speed test
- i have 22x5 Connection. Only 1 bar signal on the wifi meters on the phone cause I'm pretty far from my router. Not too bad though.

Test Date: Aug 17, 2011 12:06:54 am
Connection Type: Wifi
Server: Minnesota City, MN
Download: 20891 kbps
Upload: 3137 kbps
Ping: 14 ms

I'm getting 20Mbps down on WiFi with a Dlink 4500 Wireless N router.

It's not too slow, BUT my Xoom gets ALOT better WiFi reception (has a better WiFi Radio). I feel the WiFi Radio in the Photon is Crap (8 Radio's in the Photon and the most important one is garbage, alot of people will use WiFi). Hopefully there is a Firmaware update that fixes it. We don't buy these expensive WiFi Routers to get 6Mbps. Even the guys at Sprint agreed with me. That's low. Should see at least 28Mbps and above with the router I have.

I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine after doing this for so long, I know what I should be getting and it bothers me. Especially when WIFi Analyzer says my signal is Awesome.
