DONATE TO ME
Default Gave my wife my NC :(

I gave my wife my book color last week and might regret that decision.... Not might, I DO! In our household we have 2 EVO 3d's, 2 OG Evos, a nook color, 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab, a Xoom and a few pieces of junk ios products (all rooted and jailbroken except the xoom). Call me crazy but.... The Nook Color is my favorite device. I'm a huge cyanogenmod fan and the NC is the only one to have it, except the OG EVO and that's my wife and sons. I talked to her about trading my Galaxy tab for the NC and she just gave me a look. WTF! She doesn't even love android like I DO (I don't think). I also want to keep the Galaxy Tab in the family for the 3g and gps, the xoom is WiFi only. I know I can WiFi and gps tether but its quick and handy to grab the Galaxy and go. Anyway.... Just a rant about how I like the cm7 Nook Color oc'd at 1200 better then all the other toys we have. The NC is an oak.

Peace and love,

Dave

P.S. I know this is a big topic but her WiFi keeps dropping. Any tricks? I've done the never sleep option and still she loses WiFi A LOT. One of my VERY few gripes with HER NC.

Jealous of all your gadgets!

About the nook -- are you on the latest nightly? I used to have problems reconnecting to my wifi but it's been better lately after the last few nightlies. It still takes a little while sometimes after it's been in sleep, but it comes back reliably at least. I also found better overall stability after installing in emmc.

Because of all these gadgets we have no food in the house. LOL

I believe she is running the nightlies in the 150 range. I rarely had the WiFi drops like she's getting. We all like to play pocket legends (I'm jealous of my daughters xoom for that game) and my wife is constantly dropping. Even simple things like Facebook, YouTube, and internet constantly drop. I tried downloading 161 from ROM manager and it won't finish due to WiFi dropping. I'm gonna have to put it on the SD card and flash it and hope that fixes it. Just odd that I never had that problem. I did with Phiremod but when I went back to cm, WiFi was back.

And all I gave my wife was an STD

From what I've experienced with the wifi, many times it comes down to your routers settings, may I suggest WPA2 with AES. It could just be that the Nook just doesn't play nice with the wireless chipset in your router.

If you want more help on that issue, it'd be wise to post all the details of your setup.

If you, OP, wants to get the NC back then you should take advantages of the Wifi issue.
"hey, hon, you take my lovely Galaxy Tab and hand me the buggy Wifi NC, I just want to show you how much I love and care for you, you see, I give you the good and I'm willing to take the bad".
Get the Nook back first then fix the wifi issue later.

Good angle to take. Maybe I'll let the WiFi issue stick around for a few days.

Also i don't thinks its the router because we haven't changed anything around.

Try using the CM7.1 RC. I have that build on my NC without any issue like SOD,etc., and battery drain pretty good compare with lastest nighty build.
