Default [Q] nandroid --> sms msgs?

Ok this is a very important question. If I performed a nandroid backup on Amon RA's recovery using default selections, does that backup sms messages? I have some important msms I forgot to backup but need, now realizing thwy might be on my nandroid?

SMS is in /data so as long as /data is checked...yes

Gosms has the ability to back up sms on a daily basis as well.

Ok i'm going to be honest, my girlfriend had some really important SMS msgs she needed and I rooted her phone without letting her know that her msgs would be erased.

Is /data checked by default? If so, i'm willing to reload the nandroid backup I made, use smsbackup app to save them, then REflash CM7 which I loaded and restore her SMS.

If someone could please let me know if this is a default checked option, I'd really appreciate it.. If so I have some work to do, but waiting on responses.

Yes, it is default.

By the way, if you just go into the nandroid folder on her SDCARD you can see "data.img" which will confirm it's been backed up.

TMI, but her long time best friend recently passed away, and she was hoping to save some of their last SMS conversations she wasn't ready to delete.

In an attempt to alleviate some of her recent performance issues, I wanted to root/ROM her phone with AmonRa/CM7. I did a nandroid backup, but felt really bad when she found that all her msgs were erased. I just had to see if it was possible to restore, thanks guys.
Good luck buddy!
