Since it was recently revealed that batterystats has nothing to do with charging but just stores the battery usage history - is this guide any good anymore?

Ok something is definitely eating my battery alive and I can't figure it out for the life of me. See attached for my currentwidget.log and you'll see what I mean. Some entries in there are almost -700mah!!! Also, see the pictures I attached as well which show BetterBatteryStats kernel wakelocks and partial wakelocks. No idea what that CNT: (c/wc/ec) is that's using 100%. This is really frustrating me. I'm running ARHD 6.5.4 with faux kernel @ 1.5 max 192 min. Thanks for any suggestions.

--Put you rom in your SD card
--Go to Recovery (NOTE: I use ext4 Recovery from @Madmaxx, otherwise you can use CWM as well
--Go to "Mounts and Storage"(if you use CWM)--Go to wipe|format(if you use 4ext)
--Format sytem, then data, then cache partition
--Do wipe data factory reset (Very Very important things, it needs to re-mount your partitions after format clean! Otherwise rom won't boot at all!
--Now flash your rom
--Boot your Rom (Very important: let the rom boot completely before flash ANYTHING!!!!
Explanation: this kind of installation is the most clean installation possible. Note that "format" it's pretty different from "wipe". Wipe clean partition files, all is in your partition. Format clean all files in partition and partition files itself! That's a deeper clean, and can makes the difference. As I said, you can use fullwipes or similar as well.
first of all thanks for all specific details. i want to clean install my rom as you mentioned. but i just scared at some point.

at fifth step:
--do wipe data factory reset (Very Very important things, it needs to re-mount your partitions after format clean! Otherwise rom won't boot at all!)

well i don't get it "re-mount your partitions".. what must i do after "wipe data factory reset" specificly? what if i can't pass through sixth step and can't flash rom?

That is because you are playing, donīt expect low values or something like that. It also depends so much of the brightness of your screen and also if the kernel is overclocked or not. It is perfectly normal that your phone is hot while playing.
