Tips: You need S-OFF
Make a Nandroid Backup
USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK

How to apply: Extract the zip and choose splash1.img
1: Using Fastboot Commander: reboot in bootloader navigate to splash in Fastboot Commander choose the splash img then flash it
2: Using adb: place the splash1.img in sdk\tools, reboot in bootloader then type "fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img"

How to make a splash: First you need to resize the pic to 240x320 then save it as bmp, i use fastboot comander for making the splash its the easy way, download the program go on the splash tab click splash choose your pic and a window will popup asking you if this is the pic you want click yes, a file .nb will appear in the folder where your pic is stored,you can rename it to splash1.img and you are done.

Can someone please tell me how do I actually utilize these awesome .apk files on my phone? I have transferred them to my device, but how do I set it as my theme/wallpaper? Do I need some software?
