[Q] Backup files for Play?

Hi there!
I just rooted my play a few weeks ago and I also wanted to install the awesome Doom Kernel. But I'm quite unsure because there is no way to perform a full Nandroid backup on Play, and I haven't been able to find any stock .img ofr the kernel.

Could you link me to a stock boot.img file or something?

I'm also a bit worried about the compatibility.
Should I flash This before flashing the kernel?

EDIT: Ok, downloaded this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1221105 and flashed via flashtool after performimg a Nandroid backup and everything worked nice.
