Talking T-Touch S7 Android 2.2.2 Unlock

Hi Guys, Just did something I though t I should share, I sim unlocked and updated to Android 2.2.2. on my Telstra T-Touch, IdeosS7 or what ever other name it goes under.

It now works with Vodafone, 3mobile, optus, virgin and even woolworths and Telstra Sims, I did this with 3 T-touch device all working and no issues, hope you all have the same luck.

They are the S7-104 models

How, first download the Russian Ideo S7 from Huawei site,

huaweidevice.com/worldwide/technicaIndex.do?method=gotoProductSupport&product Id=3212&tb=0

select the software tab and download the from the following selection:
S7 V100R001C70B112(Russia Channel)
2011-08-24 Host Software -- 128.76MB English

Unzip the file and extract the dload folder completely.
Format a blank Micro SD card in your pc and copy the dload folder to the root directory
******* BACK UP YOUR DATA *******
I wont be held reponsible for any loss of data or stuffed up equipment

Power of the unit and remove battery, place MIcroSD into the Devcie, replace battery and cover and turn on, wait, the device should show a status bar and when complete the word 'OK' the device will now reboot, when it turns off, and before it restarts, remove the SD card and wait for the unit to cycle through and install the software, it may restart 2 or 3 time then ask you to calibrate the screen, this might happen twice as it did for me, and after that it was perfect.

You need to change the input keyboard to english and add your APN data Australian data can be found here:
hdmp4.com/APN

And that should be that at least for me it was, best of luck.

You could use the Norwegian Rome as well, which was what many of us had done. The unlocking is also permanent meaning you can flash to another rom later if you want to. Eg I flash to the telstra 2.2 later for better stability (for me).
