Default Droid Bionic Boot Animation with Droid Sound Effect

Check out the cool Droid Bionic boot animation on my Motorola Milestone

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp8pTy4RVMU

To download the boot animation, go to the following link
http://www.droid-life.com/2011/08/26...oot-animation/

To get the sound to play at start up, please follow the guide by vadonka (thanks) at this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=2960

I was not satisfied with just the Droid Bionic start up sound file. So I decided to add in the "Droooiiiddd...." sound effect to it.
You may download my start up sound effect from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10439360/android_audio.mp3

Copy it into your SD card and then use Root Explorer to move/copy it to the /system/media folder.
Remember to change the file permission to rw-r--r--.

Reboot and enjoy the Droid Bionic Boot Animation with sound effects

May the DROID be with you...

I know it is an old thread, but i tried to follow the tutorial of vadonka.

Problem:
I do not have the file /system/etc/init.local.rc but init.glodfish.sh in which the bootanimation is mentioned. Some other way to get bootsound running?

Running Motorola Milestone 2 with GingreBread 2.36 Brasil.
Thanks for help.

You can not change the M logo. The boot animations comes after the M Logo.
My problem is that i do not have the file /system/etc/init.local.rc on my Milestone 2 with GingerBread. Any solution?

Why use a stock ROM if you're going to modify it to that extent anyway?

I don't know what are you using, but its not stock gingerbread.

You can try Boot Animation Changer from the market.

The M logo is drawn by the bootloader, which cannot be swapped out on a Milestone due to Motorola's code-signing checks.
