Question [Q] Problem: SD card not functioning when restoring previous cooked WP7

I updated my HD2 with Yuki-Xbmod v.1 rom. After experiencing excessive battery drain issue, I decided to restore my HD2 with previous WP7 rom (HD2O_1.14_DFT_LEO70_RELEASE_NO_SHADOW). Restoring process completed smoothly but when the phone started, my SD card was no longer recognizable in old WP7 rom. I restarted my phone removing my SD card and it started smoothly.when I updated the phone into Yuki-Xbmod v.2 rom, phone detects the SD card. I know that when I updated in Yuki-Xbmod v.1/2 rom, my SD card became locked. Does this means I have to stuck only in Yuki-Xbmod v.1/2 rom or is there any other way to install old WP7 rom without formatting the SD card by Nokia phone ?

Thanks. I've read this way out of battery drainage in Developers forum. Unfortunately I just don't know how to change the radio version (I'm a rookie here) ! Perhaps some link or guidelines can help me out.

I believe that Yuki Xbmod rom V.2 has been changed with radio 5.51T and uploaded in the developer thread. Let me see if this can be a help.

Yea I'm reflashing it at the moment - the new V2 download does contain the 5.51T radio (which is also fine for EU users).

Just finished working on it. Battery tools shows that this radio version (5.51T) reduces excessive drainage of battery into minimal level. So it works fine with me. But somehow I'm just wondering if I can save my SD card for other usage. I tried to format it in cmd, SD formatter V.3, partition manager, MAGLDR and Canon camera (I don't have Nokia). Unfortunately nothing works for me.

Do your SD card work in a PC? - If not, its because your SD card is lock by your WP7 phone, and you need to do the Nokia trick to get it working again.

I have the same issue. It's a relief to see someone with my problem, and same symptos, and KNOW it's salvageable. There is just one problem: I HAVE A NOKIA N958GB! DAMN IT! That's like so close, but still so far. Only if I had an N95.....
Is there ANY other way of salvaging the SD?

EDIT: The cards are acctually easy to retrieve! You need the DEV_UNLOCKSTORAGE.cab (look in the WP7 mango (Yuki XBMOD) thread) then your PC can read the card and format it and you're good to go. But if you've allready uninstalled WP7 you will need to do a task29 (just in case) install radio, Then MAGLDR 1.13 and then clear the SD MBR (option 10 in magldr menu) and flash the WP7 ROM. Then I THINK you need to upgrade to mango to be able to use DEV_UNLOCKSTORAGE.cab (you can test and see if it works in 7004) and you're able to unlock the SD. Hope this helps someone!
