[Q] VM Intercept untouched, what should I do with it?

I have a VM Interecept and am looking/researching how to get the best use out of this phone. I wanted to get some opinions on what to do and also how to do it. (NOOB) Don't kill me! I want to try and get the best functionality out of the as possible without making it extremely difficult for myself. I wanted to get some opinions on the matter. I've been reading some things about "Flashing-Cherry-Froyo" and some others. Changing it's OS?
