Default [Q] Car Dock Not Charging

Hey All,

I purchased a Samsung OEM car dock from the AT&T store for the Infuse, and after about a day, the charging stopped. The dock is recognized, as the infuse goes into car mode, but no chargning. I played around with some car dock apps, such as car home, samsung car home & the car home widget, so I'm wondering if I accidentally changed a setting somewhere to prevent charging when docked. Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Maciek

The only problem I've had is that sometimes it takes a while to detect the charger.

What I have noticed is that with the Froyo kernels (e.g. stock AT&T Infuse firmware), if you placed the Infuse in the dock and slid the dock lock closed, and then turned on vehicle power AFTER the Infuse was in dock mode, charger power would be detected immediately.

Also, the stock car chargers from AT&T suck.

Strange...I'll see what happens when I turn the car on after sliding the dock closed. I'm running 2.3.3 though...

That's really odd then - they revamped charge detection in GB kernels such that in my experience, chargers are always detected immediately.

I was able to get my hands on another dock to test out whether it's the dock or the phone. Seems like the dock connector on my dock is broken, as when I plugin to another dock (one for a samsung galaxy sII), Charging starts right away. The crappy part is that since I live in Canada, I can't even exchange the dock w AT&T, unless I drive to detroit (which is 3 hours away). I wonder if AT&T ships to Canada :S
