[Q] Issues sending SMS via webOS device from Touchpad

So I have my TouchPad 32GB and everything works great except I can't get the pairing with another WebOS device to work. I have an HP Veer linked with Bluetooth to the Touchpad, but it won't let me send texts via the phone. It keeps telling me that I need to connect a webOS device. In the Bluetooth settings on the touchpad it shows its paired and ready to accept call and text, and I can make calls no prob, just no texts. Any ideas to what's wrong?

Unfortunately I believe the webOS phone has to be running 2.2 which the Veer isn't yet :(

Since 2.2 exists on the Pre3, and we know US Pre3's are just sitting in a warehouse somewhere, I don't see why they haven't released it for the Veer yet.
