[Q] Does Hong Kong 2.3.3 .368 prevent theming?

I got rooted 4.0.A.2.368 by downgrading to Hong Kong 2.3.2 .181 using Flashtool, rooting with Gingerbreak, then OTA updating to .368. I have a locked bootloader.

I can't install themes. If I mess around with replacing framework-res.apk for example, the phone reboots and goes into a bootloop. Is it possible that this issue is unique to the HK firmware? Everyone else seems to be enjoying themes but I can't install them (yes, permissions set correctly etc.)...

Has anyone else had success installing themes after using the above method to obtain rooted 2.3.3? Is there a theme-able pre-rooted 2.3.3 rom somewhere I can flash, that you would recommend?

I´ve replaced differrent apk´s and rebooted my phone. And I had no problems with it. Did you set the right permissions at each single file? That´s most the problem to cause a bootloop.
