Techinically all versions of streakmod are 'beta.' Dont let the name fool you though, there are no currently known issues with streak mod to date. It's more or less stable for everyday use.

If you are on 347 you are recommended to update to 360, you only need to download the 360 pkg and put it on the sdcard, then follow the directions on the wiki to do a stock update. You can skip the part of installing the matching recovery if you have not yet changed your recovery
Thanks! The 360 update went OK (although I was a bit too impatient and had to start it over, and give it plenty of time to get through all its steps - maybe about 15 minutes).

Now for Streakmod, it looks as though I have to get Fastboot on Windows working, and that is the ugly part - I hate having to boot to Windows (instead of my usual Linux), and wade through all the updates for the last 3 months, and then install drivers (for ADB/Android USB it seems), to get all those pieces for modifying an Android device - most others have been tweakable with adb from Linux.

Oh well, guess I will spend a night in "Windows mode" so I can get to root to try to mod the DS5 to tether off my Verizon WinMob phone - a dead cinch with Archos once I found the "magic" APN to plug into its built-in tethering settings (for Bluetooth from my BT-only XV6900) - that or pay ATT $40-50 a month for "native" 3g access.

Thanks, again, for the pointers as I try to plug into the DS5 variant of Androiding.

I mean I just tried QDL tool when device was unable to power on (i feel like there was no battery in the device even though the battery was in its position). Never mind about QDL tool it was not working.

Can you explain me how to reimage innerSD? does innerSD reimaging mean recreating the partition table of internal memory?

Thank you manii.

In most cases you do not need to use the images. Putting the SD Card in and doing a factory reset will format the inner SD Card properly.

You can also try another card.

My problem was with my device, it was not even powering up, so i cant factory reset. I have downloaded your innerSD image and clonezilla, when i tried to write the images to the innersd clonezilla was displaying an error "Destination disk is too small" (my InnerSD card size was almost 5MB less than your innerSD image)

i have just tried writing to sandisk 16GB class 4 sdcard (other classes more than that not available in my area) but still my device was not switching on... i think that card was not suitable for innersd...
Can you please tell me the relation between innersd and device failed to switch on.?
