I am rooted with Kuya rom, no unlock I also tried a Vodafone Irish sim but got no signal, even custom kernel wont unlock
My GF got a bill pay x8 with Meteor and her phone is sim unlocked, both bought same day in same store, same colour but 1 pre-pay and 1 bill. Confused.

Unlock code should be IMEI dependent which means it unlocks just 1 device with specific IMEI

Same here. I'm confused ;/
But I'm trying the sim card now. Ill also try Tesco Mobile (based in o2), see If aany work . Ill keep you updated

You can try but I read somewhere in unlocking thread that you have limited number of tries.
