I was going to go with a second standard battery, but they got the extended. It's awesome.

Shot a wedding yesterday. Off charger at 8am. Used GPS for 35 minutes. Talked for almost 2 hours using BT, and got home with 50% battery left...

WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Sounds like you could have gotten through the day without the extended battery. Might not be worth any pennies in that case

Just ordered mine an hour ago. As soon as it gets here I'll take before and after pics. I bought the holster/case combo that accommodates the extended battery luckily. So the case has prepped me for what to expect when the battery is finally in.

Bionic standard battery and extended. Not much of a difference in weight or size. Fits in the pocket easily.

Hey guys i had an extended battery on my thunderbolt and batt life was great, and to me it was needed because no matter what kernel or rom i couldnt get a full day use w.o dying. How nuch improvement are you guys seeing with your extended battery and do u think the added bulk is worth it? Im getting a full day use out if my bionic now but half the day im working and not using it. Im just trying to decide before ordering a regular case and then wishing i ordered the battery w/ extended battery case.

This is with the stock battery on 4G. There was still 30% left.
I already took the extended battery deal, but I might not need it after all.
