Flashable Zip:
You will still be able to update if you flash this file.
Software version: cdma_solana-user 2.3.4 5.5.1_84_D3G-55 110812 release-keysMDM6600BP_N_03.18.29P (Software and Radio versions in bold) aka Release version 5.6.890

MD5SUM: 09069555efc6c49b537f49db782a1c94
Verizon/USA and production keys signed. It is not modified in any way. Hopefully it can help unbrick some people/prevent future bricking fears =)
Attached file is the xml from the zip

Moto-fastboot
You will need a different version of fastboot to flash larger files like the system.img. Moto-fastboot allows flashing files over 256 or so MB.
Windows: Moto-fastboot for windows thanks to romracer. Direct Download Link
Linux/Mac: Moto-fastboot for linux in several flavors thanks to eval-.

RSDLite 5.5.0:

It's a new version. I haven't seen a newer version posted though I think up to 5.5.x exists already.

Real?

Thanks if so!!!

I didn't brick mine, but I'm sure others will be happy to see this.

It was 5.5.959 that was released from VZW and 5.6.890 is the latest leak. What is this? 5.5.1? 5.5.184? Either is significantly earlier than 5.5.959, but the date stamp shows Aug 12, 2011, so I am intrigued. Hopefully the version number just isn't accurate.

Is this a surefire unbrick method? @techdigital, what version is does it says your phone is running? Also, does one click root still work? If so this is amazing news and perhaps our ticket to finally getting the courage to put some roms on this bad boy.

Pretty sure the version # is accurate. Either way you should be able to OTA to the latest version if this returns you to stock (which it should).

If it can be flashed through fastboot/RSD it's about as "surefire" as you'll get without access to nvflash. Just don't much around with your Bootloader and you should be fine

You're the man.

Just waiting to hear from someone who flashed it. I'm curious about the version number as well. Just want to know if that's the number that actually shows on the phone and if the root exploit is still in effect.

Edit: Just saw that you replied to my post. Sounds great, I can start on some themes now.
