We will potentially be releasing a second alpha tomorrow (provided we can fix one remaining bug). The new alpha should fix the remaining sound issues, the wifi calling FC, and maybe even the screen-off ril issue. I have seen the ril issue before on glacier, but we are taking a different, less hacky route to fix it.

All in all, blame HTC for their hacky methods

Just gotta write this again. CM7 on my USA Sensation, no OC'ing, doing the same things i did when i had stock sense on it, same apps etc. and I'm only getting 8-9hrs of battery life with light usage. Battery calibrated with CM7 too.

Keyan, how's your battery life? I'm getting 8-9hrs with my usa sensation with CM7 with light usage. I got over 10-12hrs with stock sense.

I'm getting over 24hours with light usage. Sounds like you might have a rouge app running in the background. Battery life has been better than stock Sense for me. Thanks CM7 + KMOB!!!

My cell signal and wifi reception have been weak compared to stock Sense. Hopefully as CM7 matures, these issues will be rectified.

Do you have everything turned off or something?
I have all my synching set very conservatively. Facebook/Weather every 4 hrs, Google account is set to sync, and that's it.

I really don't know why Android System is taking up so much, something is definitely wrong.

thats quite low. only 8-9hours? and lite usage? I fully charge my phone yesterday and got to work 7am. lets just say it starts 7. I got home around 6(wifi connects automatically at home and i have never turned off my wifi), played with the thing until 8-9ish(cm7,adw stuff downloading stuff from market that would make the thing look rough and nice). after that, I installed star legends and played until 10pm. I stopped because I had a red battery(6% battery). and it kept bugging me to plug the device.

So, the whole day, just got the social media apps going. a lil music here/there. kept calling my wife(5-6times with roughly more or less, 5-8 mins the most) and a couple of sms.

I'm not sure if you can rate this as lite or medium use but surely, it gives me more than 12 hours.

I'm not sure if I did some stuff experimenting with the codes/previous roms i dumped on the device and some apks and all. but I'm just happy im one of those who's pretty much, happy with the device

EDIT: I charged it last night(10-11pm) and plugged it off before I left the house for work somewhere around 6am. But i'm not using the phone right now as much as yesterday but I got my wifi on all the time, 3 calls, couple of sms, internet, email and "facebook" (haha) I have 6:48 hours of battery and 77% battery remaining.
