yes battery life is better on 7.1 at the minute

Never had a problem with this rom before and now suddenly it comes up with: Application requires newer SDK version when installing an update to either GMAIL or YOUTUBE.

Maybe because this rom is not up to date by a few months now. Try newer cm7 roms. There's a lot of them.
