Default Just Ordered Mine Through Telesales

just a FYI. its available. and its 199 without any mail in rebate.. should be seeing it in a couple days.. i tried to order their kickstand case but she said they dont have it in stock yet. also.. for all those who said the extra 10 dollars isnt a 4g tax is wrong.. the rep said herself that there is a extra 10 fee because the phone is 4g. so there you have it..

It's a "premium data" charge now because many phones without 4g get charged it also.

Unless you're like me on SERO-P, then it IS a 4g charge.

Rep once told me that the fee was 'because the phone has a 1ghz processor and that makes it use more of the network'

With all due respect, if you believe a word these 'reps' say.... I don't know what to say to you.

As discussed a 10000000 times, it's not for 4g.
Period.
Go get a HTC Airrive and see if you get charged the fee.
You will. The end.

It really isn't a 4G tax, it's a smartphone tax. Go to the Sprint website and shop for a new plan using a 3G (not 4G) capable smartphone, and witness that the $10/mo premium data charge is still mandatory.

Edit: Whoa. Laaaaaaate.

Yah I'm also on sero P.. at first she was like " I see you are one our sero plan which is 40 dollars. This phone requires a 10 dollar 4g fee because the phone is a 4g capable device" but I told her i have the epic 4 g so I'm already paying it. What's funny is when I first connected with her, b4 I even ordered she said "I see your area doesn't have 4g. We are working on that". Lol.. hmmmm.

The 10 fee most definately started out as a 4g fee. You can tell me whatever you want.. its just because they could get 4g rolled out as quickly as they planned so they had to reevaluate the name of the fee.. and a lot of people were complaining of this. Here's a perfect example.. me and my girl both have sero.. she has a samsung moment I have an epic 4g and I pay 50 she pays 40.. all under my name.... both phones are android and use the same amount of data service.. difference? Mine is 4g

my input on this fee...

its definitely a 4g fee in my book... no matter how many times they tell you the $10 is for something different. now they call it a "premium data fee" when in all actuality this "premium data" is only required for 4g devices... they both coincide, they are one lol.

and again it should be noted that 3G-only devices are also required to pay the premium data fee. what you are saying was valid last year but has since been changed.
