Default [CONFIRMED] Lapdock for Photon

The Motorola Photon 4G will be receiving its very own lapdock accessory. Sprint indirect retailers are currently having a competition going on through 11/24 with multiple prizes for selling Photons.

Sell 1- Entrance into drawing for trip to NFL Pro Bowl 2012 in Hawaii (2 winners)

Sell 4- Win a Motorola bluetooth headset

Sell 8- Win a free Motorola Photon 4G (first 3000 entries)

Sell 16- Entrance into drawing for Motorola Photon Accessory pack; Photon lapdock, HD Multimedia dock, Navigation dock (200 winners)

Sell 32- Entrance into drawing for a Google TV (4 winners)

This is a really awesome promo going on by Motorola, but it's even more awesome knowing we'll be getting our own lapdock.

The only documentation is as I stated, in our indirect dealer competition files. It's part of a program called Sprint RewardsMe.

Posted link to this on motorola photon forum. Joannmp mention the photon twin, the Motorola Electrify (announce September 12 on US Cellular), as possibly having the lapdock. Trying to confirm these items further.

I just can't pay 400 bucks for a lapdock.

A screen, battery and keyboard shouldn't cost that much.

Yup, I agree.

But for me, part of it is knowing I can get laptop dock if I want one, especially since we were told early on that the Photon would be getting one, just like my Atrix and Bionic counterparts. Will I buy one? Not for $400 but maybe a refurbished one will roll out one day.

I talked to numerous people at Sprint who refused to confirm a Photon Lapdock. But tbey also did not deny it. They said Motorola has made promises in tbe past that did not come true and Sprint higher-ups have also changed their minds at the last minute.

I do have it in writing from U. S. Cellular that the Motorola Electrify will have a lapdock available through tbe Motorola Accessory Store. The Electrify is a Photon twin and appears to have an identical layout.

The price has dropped on the lapdocks. I have see it as low as $175 and would not expect it to be greater than $300.

I mean i'd get one if they were about $99, and i see you can get a refurbished one for the atrix for $175 from at&t but that is still too much.

So this is the best "confirmed" information we have? I suggest the OP changes the title until actual proof is given. This seems more like hearsay.
