no im keeping my photon, im just here cuz teh excitement of a new phone is way too much for me to ignore. taht and pauly has a et4g, and hes teh one who banned me from teh photon chat so i figure by being here and being useful it will just piss him off further

actually this could work, because the GSII boot.img and recovery image both work, my phone boots, just don't have network/data, someone just need to repackage it with samsung source kernel, I am gonna try that right now... wish me luck caz i dont want to brick my phone twice in two days.

Don't do that... /facepalm.

The initramfs has to do with the service you receive. It has network references that are CDMA and Sprint specific.

I don't get why initramfs isn't included when compiled???

And now he cant flash to stock kernel cuz we dont even have it yet... Isnt the recovery kernel seperate from The regular kernel? Or am i wrong? If so someone could flash juust the recovery and then flash su.zip and get the stuff we need... But im so guinnea pig, ill leave that to somone else..

That would be a more appropriate route like I said before you need root to pull the stock zImage to be able to pull the stock initramfs and compile kernels.
