[Q] Brightness Issues

I am currently useing my HP DM3 3010US with windows 8 on it currently, im having a issue how my brightness controld on my keyboard and also via the power control settings page the brightness on my screen would not change, people have said to install latest display drivers but it isnt making a difference, any help and suggestions appreciated (:

I am running windows 8 on an HP dv7 and am having similar issues. I have all the latest drivers as of yesterday and windows 8 says brightness is at 100 but it looks like 20, like the backlight isn't on or something. Any suggestions? Maybe different drivers?

ive solved the problem, what i did, i went into control panel into device manager, went to display adaptors and rollback my display drivers, see if that works (:
