take these three files and put them on your SD card
move them to system/app and CHANGE ALL THREE .APKS PERMISSION TO RW- R-- R--
i changed before i put them into /app and replaced all the .apk's that it asked me too
--- this may not be needed but i did it anyways
boot into recovery wiped cache/dalvik and fixed permissions
wahlah beats audio lol
DO THIS ON YOUR OWN!! I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS ON ANY ROM OTHER THEN SENSE 3.5 THATS WHAT THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR... IF YOUR TRYING ON ANYTHING LOWER THEN SENSE 3.5 YOUR ON YOUR OWN WITH WHAT HAPPENS... EVEN IF YOU DO SOMETHING WRONG ON A SENSE 3.5 rom ITS ALL ON YOU! : )
Not to fan the flames of something that probably won't happen for a while, but
you missed a file. /system/lib/soundfx/libbeatsbass.so
I have to assume that this is the actual dsp for beats. I tried replacing the apk's
in a Sense 3.0 rom, and, big surprise, no effect. so I tried replacing the HTCMusic
app with teh sense 3.5 app, and it FC's.. also, no surprise. I'm not a dev, so there
is no chance that I can hack or mod the apk's to work with a Sense 3.0 rom, but
perhaps replacing another DSP (like the srs one) with the beats DSP will give you
Beats when you select SRS.
TBH I'm not super interested in Beats, other than to just see if it would work.
When I DJ, I don't use any kind of DSP's, just a plain EQ, so if I were to use my
phone for DJ'ing or a party, I sure wouldn't use any of it's built in DSP's.
Good luck to everyone working on this!
