Default [Q] Flight Simulator X in Windows 8
I installed FSX on my Windows 8 Developers Preview to see if it would work. When trying to open FSX after the installation, the splashscreen would appear and a few seconds later the infamous "Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working" message would appear.

I went through the event log and the faulting module seems to be kernelbase.dll, which suggests that FSX is not compatible with windows 8 out of the box. Has anyone managed to find a workaround for this?

Try running FSX in compatibility mode.
Owner of an HTC Sensation (primary), HTC myTouch 4G, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

All My HTC Glacier ROMs have been retired, I lost them all when Multiupload went away Thanks to those who downloaded and supported.
