Switch between 3G and 2G?

I have a friend with this phone....
He has 3G activated on his SIM Card but he wants to use 2G (EDGE / GPRS) instead....

Is there anyway he can switch between 2G and 3G?

Dude... tell your friend to explore the phone's settings...

And he'll eventually find what he needs at /settings/wifi and networks/mobile networks

Its not my phone and if I call him and tell him that and if he doesn't get it then I would have to ask here again.

Exactly !!

Use only 2g works. The 3G here is very expensive so I use only 2g. But when I reboot it automatic goes to 2g. What should I do?

Select wcdma for 3g and then select all

or for 2g use gsm >> all

Settings -> Wireless and Networks -> Mobile networks -> Network Operators

By Default GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) is selected.

GSM = 2G
WCDMA = 3G

Select the one you want to use.

When you reboot your phone, it goes to 2g.. okay... and 3g is expensive so you use only 2g.

What is the question ?

I guess he wants to disable automatic "data transfer mode" enabling.

if you want to do that
Settings>Wireless and Network>Mobile Network>Use Data Connection.
