Facebook - Partial wake lock problems

I know some time over a year ago, the Facebook app was released with a battery-draining bug that used a lot of partial wake lock time.

I'm noticing now in my battery history, a lot of brief "awake" periods when the screen is solidly off. I went into Spare Parts > Battery History, and selected Partial wake usage from the menu. It told me that Facebook has used 33m21s of partial wake time over the course of the 4h50m my phone has been unplugged. I am certain that I never even opened Facebook during that period.

Has it always been this way or did it get worse in a recent build? I'm wondering if this is contributing to battery drain.

Bump it up. Just noticed this problem today. 15 hours up time and 8 and a half hours partial awake with the FB app. No solutions seem to be online, might just uninstall on. Anyone have any ideas?

The same happened to me yesterday. Over 10hs of wakelock by the FB app with the phone running on battery for about 20hs. 25% of my battery was drained in 6 hours.
Needless to say I uninstalled the FB app right away. Now the battery seems to last longer.

my facebook app was doing this a few weeks ago, had to uninstall the facebook app, delete the data, then reinstalled facebook from market and all was solved, been fine for a few weeks now
