Hi guys, I have a big problem, I SLCD Bricked my HTC Desire.
What I've done :

I used revolutionary to go S-OFF -> worked
Then I downgraded the Hboot to 0.85 through the adb thing
And I guess I flashed the wrong rom + I forgot to put the goldcard and I got a black screen.

I have a good goldcard, I still can see my phone through the adb thing. I tryed to flash a lot of roms following many tutorials but It won't work until I get S-off, cause my phone is from Orange.

When I try to go S-off with revolutionary, that's what I get :

I can get in Recovery mode too

Atm I am trying to follow the step "[4]RUU PROBLEMS>S-ON" i will tell you in a few minutes if It worked with the ruu in the first post.

I tried with the ruu of the first post, it say [170] USB connection... Other Roms like RUU_Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.3_Radio_32.30.00.28U _4.05.00.11_release_121865 would run but stop with the error [140] Wrong version of bootloader... :/

Yep I found it just before you post. Just wanted to thank you again it instantly solved my problem. Without you, I would not have been able to sell the phone. Therefore, I will make you a donation!

Thanks very much Bortak, you saved my bacon : )

Whilst returning my girfriend's Desire to stock last night prior to selling it I decided to use HTC's Froyo RUU from Windows. Unfortunately I had completely forgotten that about a year ago I flashed CM7 hboot to it, so, of course, the RUU failed to write the System data properly and I was stuck in RUU Fastboot staring at those chuffing exclamation marks. Talk about panic.....it's worse when it's you've made a mess of someone else's phone!

Eventually I found your guide (I'm terrible at searching) and was able to use Android Flasher to put the standard Alpha Rev hboot back on it. For some reason it at first it just wouldn't work when I was using version 2.2.0.5 (couldn't find phone), but I stumbled upon an older version lying around on my hard drive (2.1.0.1) and that did work, allbeit showing the same 'phone not found' error, but going through the motions anyway. Thank goodness!! After that the RUU ran fine of course, and then I used fastboot to flash AlphaRev's downgrader so now everything is back to stock and hopefully the phone will sell. Thank you very much indeed, I really appreciate the comprehensive guide you've written : )

Woah there, you flashed the downgrader AFTER you ran the RUU? the bootloader will then still be Alpharev Stock S-OFF instead of HTC S-ON.

Look at my guide on how to take out the rom.zip from a RUU (theres a video) and extract it.

From the zip take the file named "hboot_8x50_0.93.0001_20100810.nb0" and "android-info.txt" and make a .ZIP (not .rar) and name it PB99IMG.zip.

Put the file on the root of your sd-card and boot into HBOOT (hold volume down & power when phone is off), it will ask to update after a few seconds, so select Yes. Once it's finished, NOW you fill have a fully restored stock phone.
