I've been using it - works perfectly. Note this is the older model. There's a new one with a trackpad instead of the ball. My guess is the new model works too. The dongle is tiny - fits in a compartment for safe keeeping when not in use.

Did you have to do anything special to get it to work. I tried one and it did not seem to recognize it.

Sitecom 63-in-1 Card Reader MD-018 works on my A501 out of the box, with an assortment of different cards.

Kingston Mobilelite G2 SDHC/MicoSDHC care reader works fine, ICYBOX 2Bay HDD Docking Station with one NTFS 500GB 2.5 inch HDD works fine in either slot, when switching to a NTFS 4 partitioned 250GB 3.5 inch drive it is not detected, not sure if it is because of the partitioning or because it's a 3.5 inch, but it starts to spin when plugged. BTW all this with stock ROM, FX Explorer and without rooting.

Actually both the Wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers work.

Very handy for Playing Onlive PC games (cloud gaming) since it uses that over lay for the controller settings by default and you know what buttons are what.

In the last beta of an upcomign ORder and CHaos online update with the Firestorm content, the 360 controller will be supproted fully and the on screen over lay commands will match.

A note the 360 wireless charger cable will nto work becuase it charges only and sends no data at all. When plugged into a 360 it is simply keeping te controller running and charges it, it still uses wireless to send and recieve data.

I'm running Stock 3.2, not rooted.
  • 1TB Western Digital Passport hard drive formatted NTFS (works flawlessly)
  • 16GB SanDisk Cruzer USB flash drive
  • Nikon D3100 DSLR digital camera (all I have to do is plug it in and turn it on and the gallery/import options menu pops up automatically)
  • Wireless USB Keybaord/Mouse combo kit
  • Generic 41-in-1 card reader
  • Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse

Sent from my A500 using xda premium
I mount my Sanyo Zio / Kyocera M6000 Android phone on my Acer A500 just fine. I use the micro usb to usb 2.0 cable, where the micro attaches to the phone, usb2 to tablet. On phone, it asks if you want it as storage device, which is normal..
