Unhappy GTA IV not running on W8

I loves playing GTA IV.But thats not working on Win8.I'm eager to play it on W8 bcoz my every game got boost on W8.
It is showing me some error about sxstrace.exe.!!
HTC GENE (still using as spare :P)-->HTC HD2-->LG Optimus SOl-->Samsung Galaxy S Advance

Have you tried it in compatible mode? And you shouldnt use a developer preview as your main OS. You have no reason to be mad at it.

Completely correct on both points... It's not for Daily use, it's an unstable developer preview. And secondly put the program in compatibility mode. Lastly it would be nice to give details about the error rather than just naming some random .exe file...

I'm not too noob that i make W8 as main OS.I was only giving it a try bcoz my every game got performence boost.It is showing me following error.
HTC GENE (still using as spare :P)-->HTC HD2-->LG Optimus SOl-->Samsung Galaxy S Advance

Looks like you may be missing a visual c++ redistributable...

That sidebyside message is usually when it can't load a dll or something that it needs due to missing libraries..

I'll try GTA IV when I get home tonight and see if I can get it working.

I guess u r using the program files. If so I would just suggest to re-install the game.
