Default [Q] CWM Recovery Question

Does CWM Recovery work differently on Samsung phones or is it just currently only available through a hacked kernel because the E4GT is not officially supported?

It’s my understanding that by flashing CWM through Rom Manager just replaces the recovery partition but does not change the kernel on the device.

Lastly, do Samsung devices have any security measures like HTC’s S-On/S-Off that will effect the ability to flash CWM through Rom Manager?

Thanks,

No it doesnt work different on samsung phones. The one we are using now is hacked and it needs to be made specifically for this phone. Rom manager is not updated for this phone yet. We never had rom manager support on the original epic. No there is no security on this phone. Bootliadet is not locked.
