[Q] Regional Software Variants
I'm kind of new to the Sony Ericsson versioning, so I was wondering if someone could tell me how the phone identifies to update services, where it's from?
I have a Generic German on 368, and want to update to 2.3.4 now (that's not my question, so don't explain how) but if I use one for Nordic regions, will my phone in future identify itself as Nordic Generic?
I only ask because getting the files is such a pain, as I'm in China (Megaupload etc. are all blocked, and Wotanserver is prone to connection reset problems), so want to know before I do it.
Before I had a Galaxy S. The Samsung system of CSC (where a phone is identified by a CSC, and certain CSCs will be available on the phone, and if the phones CSC is unavailable it will default to KOR) is what I understand. In this scenario forcing a different region's software won't (necessarily) cause it to identify it as that region in future. How does SE work?
Any help would be appreciated. The way its works since comparitively less-explained than CSCs were.
