Joining contact accounts

After upgrading my phone to 2.3.4 last night via Kies and I noticed that it had split all the joined accounts for my contacts!

I started to manually re-join them but it's taking forever (there are a lot of contacts).

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem since updating to 2.3.4 and/or if anyone knows of an easier way to get the phone to automatically join the obvious matches?

I would rather avoid a factory reset if possible.

My update went smooth. All my contacts are still joined.

Yeah doesn't seem to be a common problem at all, looks like I might be the only one. Something funny must've happened.

Okay, well then does anyone know of an easy way to join my contacts?
